He said, if RIM has promised to do filtering pornographic content, he must hold a meeting with six service provider of BlackBerry services. The six operators who work with RIM, PT Telekomunikasi Cellular (Telkomsel), PT Indosat Tbk, PT XL Axiata Tbk, PT Natrindo Cell Phones, PT Hutchison CP Telecommunications, and PT Smart Telecom.
But if that promise figment and RIM never make falseness steps, the government would shut down BlackBerry service Internet Serivice (BIS). Previously, Menkominfo ultimatum RIM to install pornography filtering software on the BlackBerry service in two weeks. The government will block if the BlackBerry Internet service until the date January 21, 2011 it is not done.
RIM said in a statement has expressed its commitment to comply with laws and regulations in Indonesia, including the request of the Government of Indonesia to filter pornographic content. The company, based in Canada that promised soon to coordinate with government and partners to do the filtering operator immediately.
